Freebies to Late

Google and Yahoo had the attention of the world by giving out a small cost for free. Now AOL years later wants to jump on this sort of promotion to bring people to their site. AOL will begin to give away freebies to users to try to get a grip on the ever loosing online service. Will it be to late and will they drive in advertising dollars?

The exchange-traded funds are getting much attention. In fact they are beginning to shine like hedge funds a year ago. ETF’s grew to $335 billion in May and the US ETF’s are up $39 billion with expectations to hit about $80 billion by the end of 2006. Compared to other markets ETF’s are slow paced, but a lot of that has to deal with getting the people to understand what a ETF is. Currently there are about 265 ETF’s being traded on the markets with many more on the way.

Here is a ETF that deals with the Euro…
Euro Currency Trust (FXE) 127.89
