Golden Profits
This past week we have been getting earnings from oil companies. Some are great others are so so, but here is a list of what is in thus far.
Chevron the second biggest oil company in the USA didn’t perform as many expected. Chevron’s second quarter rose 18 percent for a profit of $4.4 billion.
ExxonMobil a world wonder of energy sucked up dollars all over the world and from this they earned $10.36 billion. That is a bit over what Wall Street expected in fact it is 36 percent over. Exxon for this quarter is said to have made $114 million a day, $13,000 a second.
Shell took in $7.32 billion which is up 40 percent from just last year.
ConocoPhillips $5.18 billion in profits.
BP $7.27 billion for this quarter.
This comes out to be over $34 billion in profits for the oil slick companies in the second quarter.
It was not so long ago that we seen airlines not taking off in the right direction. Now they are changing the color of the sky to green. US Airways had a loss last year and now they have a $305 million dollar second quarter profit and rumors are saying that they are expecting that same news for the other airlines.
Today’s markets looked good as the Dow went up over 119 to 11,219 and the NASDAQ went up over 39 to 2,094 with these ups came some positives in other markets.
