Unstable

July 17th, 2006 Written by KP

The markets are not so good because the world seems to be unstable. In one way or another much of the people are divided on who is right and who is wrong. Often times it is those who care the most suffer the most as the big politicians and other forms of power push and pull their weight across the globe until someone takes it a step further. From the Middle East to Asia and that not to say parts of Central America in what the world considers wrong they go ahead and try to make a point.

At the G8 summit in Russia was looking to be part of the WTO and their hopes is stalled by way of US and Russia not agreeing to all terms. Also Russian oil company Rosneft raised $10.4 billion in a offering to become the sixth largest offering in corporate history. Look for this to become something more. Other oil companies are accusing and pushing each other as Gazprom and Yukos seem be on different sides of the river.

Oil what a topic of the 2006 as it is now at record highs of 78 per barrel. In the relief of the price the USA has opened up drilling in the Gulf of Mexico again so this may ease this a bit. Look for more and more interest to be drawn to the oil pit in and around Colorado as it is said to have more oil then many can imagine and with the prices going up they will be cheaper to process.

Dow and NASDAQ have been down as expect.

Japan ends its 0 percent interest.

Petco has sold for $1.8 billion.
