The Dow moved up a bit today and many other markets went below as this has been the theme of this week. Al-Zarqawi’s death brought the oil down, but that might be only for the moment because Iran is on the propaganda train again. Iran and other oil companies/countries may get in some trouble in the future since everyone is searching for alternatives. Look at ethanol and how that is booming and not only that, but there is research to find a better way to process the shale oil in the USA. It is said that there are over 1 trillion barrels of oil in these parts of the USA that is more then enough to compete against OPEC. In time I believe the oil price will fall because if people keep searching for new ways of energy this will be a burden to many oil producing companies and they will have no choice but to drop the price.
