Both the Dow and the NASDAQ took a hit today as many investors are very confused about what is going on with the economy after the job report fell, but this may put a slow down on the rate hike.
Oil was the hotshot of today as it was taking advantage of weak reports and instability with Nigeria and Iran. Oil jumped 2 a barrel to 72.33 and it will probably hit records again. OPEC is in the process of adding other members to their already rich oil producing organization . This has a few worried about what to come. I guess this will add to the already ethanol movement going on in many countries.
Wal Mart is in the process of adding ethanol pumps to many of their stores (383). Rex stores has invested $25 million in ethanol. Ethanol will be found all along I-35 for all your fueling purposes. These ethanol plants are going so fast that is becoming so hard to keep track of.
Wal Mart has been making business headlines as they are giving their stores a make over for consumers. Wal Mart wants to begin selling organic food and flat screen televisions at many of their stores. Talk also includes some designer clothing.
It seems the USA has a taste of the green revolution going on. Green building for 2006 should be around $11 billion, but by 2010 spending should be between $29-$57 billion. This will help solar, hydro, wind, and many other companies involved with green building.
Many blogs are talking about a layoff for some at Intel. AMD has been in the news for the new deal with Dell and since Dell use to use Intel chips that has put a strain on the company.
