The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates a quarter of a point to 5%. The rates are at a five year high and they also speculated that it may raise again the next meeting.

Whirlpool to cut 4,500 jobs as it will close several Maytag plants.

Precious metals are on fire as gold (707) continues putting numbers on the 25 year high and platinum (1,249) has hit a record high. Along with the movement in these metals has brought movement to silver (14.48) and rhodium (4990).

Oil has sneaked past 72 again and I imagine it will hit records again to get the attention of everyone.

International stock funds are performing above other funds as people diverse there portfolios they are looking for growth outside of the USA and these funds have been giving many people a good return on their dollar. Warren Buffett has told people to invest in a country with a strong currency and these funds will give you exactly what Buffett has advised those to do.
