Blockbuster Summer

As expected the oil price would fall a bit due to the people starting to wonder and the lawsuits brought against Bush. It will fall some then hit new highs from Iran’s propaganda that will put fear only in OPEC and the futures.
The US has issued $1 billion in contracts to companies helping with bird flu. Solvay SA, a Belgium pharmaceutical company, was given $298.59 million; GlaxoSmithKline PLC, maker of asthma medication Advair,$274.8 million; Novartis AG, $220.5 million; MedImmune Inc., maker of flu vaccine FluMist, $169.5 million; and DynPort Vaccine Co., a Maryland company, $41 million. Look for these companies shares to jump some.
Blockbuster summer may bring stocks higher for the companies that trade public. Rencent many entertainment companies (outside of satelite radio) have been turing in good profits for the first quarter and the summer has not even started yet. Sony (SNE) already has a hit on it hands with ‘The Da Vinci Code’ staring Tom Hanks. This movie may not have to put much into marketing since Dan Brown is becoming a public relations guru as lawsuits continue to test his wit. Disney (DIS) is in the heat wave as they prepare to release ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ and ‘Cars’ a animation film from Pixar. Both of these films will generate box office buzz and cash to bring 2nd and 3rd quarter profits up. Fox part of News Corp (NWS) will release ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ the third of the series, Viacom (VIA) is starting the summer off with ‘M:I:III’ staring Tom Cruise and Time Warner (TWX) who has already had nice profits ($1.46 billion) will be releasing ‘Superman Returns’. In all these potential blockbusters will beat out last years blockbusters so they companies should increase earnings and profits for 2006.
The oil prices are bull, if every body would put there heads together we would not have these problems.
