Hedgestreet.com has developed a interesting site that is basic investing 101 and lets you get in on the action for little money compared to the thousands of dollars needed to trade on the Chicago Board of Trade. One guy on HedgeStreet started with $100 and now he has turned that into $3,000. Not bad for being new! 9 US states have sued the administration of President George W. Bush for automotive fuel economy standards that they say makes the energy crisis worse and destroying the world. Look for the oil to ease off a bit as Bush will try to comfort Americans. This may put more pressure on Bush to try to find other ways to deal with this problem perhaps ethanol will be moving up.
Dreamworks and Sirius ($485 million first quarter loss) are taking hits so far this year and Asian car makers are still pushing US automakers around.
