Entrepreneurs and the Stock Market
Today entrepreneurs have a big choice to make: Will they make their fortune in stocks or will they make their fortune from opening their own business? Sometimes this is a difficult choice for them to make. However, today with such fluctuation taking place in the stock market more and more entrepreneurs are deciding that they would rather open up their own business and work hard to make their fortune. This was discovered in a new survey that was undertaken by Discover Business Card. Recently, 1,000 small business owners and managers were polled. These results came out today after the stock market has been setting new highs in the most recent weeks.
They show that 44% of those surveyed agree that running a business is a lot less risky than investing in the stock market is. In fact, only 37% of the people interviewed would like to make their fortune in stocks and 18% indecisive.
The percentage of people who said that the fluctuation in stocks did not have a noticeable impact upon their business was 68% . However, 88% of small business owners actually did believe that the stock market’s performance did occasionally influence their business investment decisions. Another 55% of small business owners said that the stock market does not reflect the economic reality on a day-to-day basis.
